First Indian Handset Company to foray into M -Commerce
Plans to launch an online application store
June 29, 2010, New Delhi: Lemon Mobiles, the value for money mobile brand promoted by Fastrack
Communications Pvt. Ltd. previewed “Lemon
Twist”, its latest application suite with a myriad of
offerings to provide ease and convenience to the Indian consumer. Lemon Twist will be currently
available on Lemon iQ 505, an upcoming handset from the Lemon Mobile portfolio
and will be later available on all the upcoming models of Lemon Mobiles.
Twist comes
loaded with Atom Lite, an m-Commerce solution Atom Technologies which
gives its users the freedom of m-Commerce on their handsets. With this tie-up, Lemon Mobiles becomes the first handset
company in
Introducing Twist to its
consumers, Mr. Gopal Kalra, Director,
Fastrack Communications Pvt. Ltd. said, “Content will be the main
driver for mobile phones in the near future and with 3G and BWA on the horizon,
content will differentiate the handset offering for its users. We, at Lemon
Mobiles, have foreseen this and decided to integrate and offer our customers

will be available on all Lemon mobiles.”
Lemon Twist, currently an offshoot
of the Lemon brand is slated to add ‘spice’ and
‘choice’ to the master brand. For Lemon Twist, Lemon Mobiles has
tied up with industry leaders for providing rich content on its handsets. Twist bundled with Opera Mini is sure to
provide speed up web-browsing experience to its users. Map My India, Nimbuzz,
Snaptu, Affle (SMS2.0), and Buzzintown have also come together with Lemon
Mobiles to add twist in the use of a mobile by its user.
With other additional features
like Lemon Dictionary (English to
English and English to Hindi Dictionary) and Lemon iQ (Quiz for competitive exams), and Lemon Astrojee (Personalized predictions), Lemon Mobiles is
definitely set to bring a sea change in the usage of handsets by its users, no
more being just a calling device.

soon plan to launch an online application store along with the applications
available on the phone. With these applications on the iQ505 model and

In a short span of a year, Lemon
Mobiles has successfully launched several models starting from basic handsets
to high-end models in the affordable price segment of Rs. 1500 to Rs. 6000 with
various enticing features such as MP3 compatibility, top end speaker phones,
camera and several others. With around 15 models currently under its brand
name, Lemon Mobiles has recently crossed their first self laid milestone of
selling 1,50,000 units a month.
Lemon Mobiles soon plans to set
-up a manufacturing facility for mobile phones and GPS devices under
‘Fastrackerz’ brand in India. Fastrackerz is a brand for GPS
devices from Fast Infrastructure Pvt. Ltd which is a fully owned subsidiary of
Fastrack Communications Pvt. Ltd.
